Dr Anna Saunders completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at University College, London with first class honours. She obtained her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the same university. Dr Saunders spent nine years working in a specialist treatment service in central London for the NHS working with complex difficulties.
Dr Saunders has worked with individuals and groups with a wide range of difficulties. She has experience of general adult, child, and older adult mental health services as well as specialist services for substance misuse, early psychosis and personality disorders. She has specialist training in dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) as well as training in cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) and schema therapy (ST). Dr Saunders has particular expertise in facilitating mindfulness, emotion regulation, and behaviour change in adults. She has considerable experience in the delivery of training and consultation to teams and organisations.
Special interests include the treatment of depression, anxiety, personality disorders, eating disorders and substance misuse.
