Dr Zoe Knight completed her BSc in Psychology at Goldsmiths College, an MSc in Foundations of Clinical psychology at Bangor University and Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at University of East London. She has been working as a Counselling Psychologist with young people and adults in various NHS trusts and private practice since 2012.
Dr Knight has a considerable range of experience of working with individuals and groups, across both adult and young people’s services. She integrates a number of models, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness, Compassion Focused Therapy and Psychodynamic therapy to best meet the needs of her clients. Dr Knight has particular expertise in Mentalisation Based Therapy (MBT) and is an accredited practitioner in this model. She also has specialist training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Schema Therapy (ST).
Dr Knight is highly skilled in working with children, young people and adults who are experiencing various types of emotional difficulties, such as phobias, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, personality disorders, psychosis, PTSD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, work or exam related stress, relationship difficulties, bereavement, loss and adjustment difficulties.
