Dr Anna Saunders is a Clinical Psychologist who completed her BSc (Hons) in Psychology at University College London (UCL) with first-class honours, before going on to complete her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy)at UCL. She has worked in Central London NHS general mental health services and specialist treatment services, including substance misuse, early onset psychosis, and personality disorder services, supporting adults, young people, and older adults.
In the therapy room, Dr Saunders brings a collaborative and integrative approach. She draws on training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy (ST), Schema Therapy for Couples and Mindfulness-based approaches, and adapts her approach to the individual. Dr Saunders has particular expertise in facilitating mindfulness, emotion regulation, and behaviour change in adults.
All clinicians at The Chelsea Psychology Clinic are trained to conduct comprehensive assessments, considering clients as a whole person rather than a specific issue. They tailor treatment and integrate multiple therapeutic perspectives to create a plan that is both evidence-based and uniquely suited to you.
Dr Saunders works with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, emotional dysregulation, adjustment difficulties, bereavement, eating disorders, relationship and interpersonal difficulties, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and substance misuse, personality disorders, mood disorders, self harm, suicidal ideation and behaviours, she also has experience working with neurodivergent clients including ADHD and ASD.
Alongside her clinical work, Dr Saunders has extensive experience in training and consultation for teams and organisations, reflecting her passion for enhancing skills and knowledge across mental health services.
