Dr Ben Wethered

Clinical Psychologist

Dr Ben Wethered first began his training with a BA in Philosophy and Theology at the University of Oxford, before completing a Psychology MSc conversion course at the University of East London and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) at Royal Holloway, University of London. His path has taken them through a broad range of NHS services, including IAPT, CAMHS, Older Adults, substance misuse, and community mental health, where he have supported adults, young people, and older adults, shaping the way he now work with clients.

In the therapy room, Dr Wethered brings a flexible and person-centred approach, drawing on training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy (ST) y, helping clients explore their experiences in a straightforward, accepting, and authentic manner.

All clinicians at The Chelsea Psychology Clinic are trained to conduct comprehensive assessments, considering you as a whole person rather than a specific issue. They tailor treatment and integrate multiple therapeutic perspectives to create a plan that is both evidence-based and uniquely suited to you.

Dr Wethered works with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, stress,  OCD, bereavement, psychosis, complex trauma, ADHD and ASD, and burnout.
