Dr Christina Johnson first began her training with a BSc (Hons) in Applied Psychology at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, before completing a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology (DCPsych) at Glasgow Caledonian University & the University of Strathclyde. Her professional path has taken her through the NHS, private practice, and the private medical insurance sector, with a focus on psycho-oncology, supporting adults and adolescents affected by cancer, and delivering group interventions and trainings.
In the therapy room, Dr Johnson brings a holistic and integrative approach, specialising in Couples Therapyalongside individual work. She draws on training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema Therapy (ST), Psychodynamic Therapy, Mindfulness-based interventions, and Somatic/Experiential approaches. Dr Johnson works collaboratively with clients, tailoring therapy to the individual or couple. She creates a supportive environment where clients can explore their challenges safely, feel empowered, and work towards meaningful changes in their relationships and wellbeing.

Dr Johnson works with individuals and couples facing a wide range of difficulties, including depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, PTSD, complex trauma, burnout/work stress, self-esteem difficulties, grief/loss, adjustment difficulties, relationship difficulties, ADHD, ASD, and OCD. She has specialist experience in trauma, complex trauma, and relationship difficulties.
Alongside her therapy work, Dr Johnson facilitates group interventions and educational sessions, reflecting her commitment to supporting clients in developing tools and skills to enhance wellbeing beyond individual therapy sessions.
