Dr Eleni Panagiari first began her training with a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology (DCPsych). Her path has taken her through roles in primary and secondary care NHS services, child services, community-based charities, and private practice, shaping the way she now works with clients.
In the therapy room, Dr Panagiari brings a pluralistic, relational approach, tailoring her work to the needs of each client. She draws on training in Existential-Phenomenological Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and Schema Therapy. She works to build a shared understanding of clients’ difficulties and strengths, providing a confidential, safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space in which clients can explore their experiences.
All clinicians at The Chelsea Psychology Clinic are trained to conduct comprehensive assessments, considering you as a whole person rather than a specific issue. They tailor treatment and integrate multiple therapeutic perspectives to create a plan that is both evidence-based and uniquely suited to you.
Dr Panagiari works with adults and children facing a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, stress, phobias, bereavement and loss, emotional containment/anger, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), personality disorders, psychosis, eating disorders, chronic illness, and interpersonal difficulties.
Outside her therapeutic practice, Dr Panagiari is a senior lecturer at the Metanoia institute.
