Dr Hannah Green first began her training in Psychology at Goldsmiths, University of London, graduating with Upper Second-Class Honors, before going on to complete a master’s in Forensic Psychology and a Doctorate in Educational and Child Psychology at University of East London. Her path has taken her through Local Authorities, schools and the civil service, where she has supported children, young people, and families, and into independent work as an Educational Psychologist, which has shaped the way she now work with clients.
In the therapy room, Dr Green brings a warm, engaging and intrinsically relational approach. She draws on training in CBT, CFT, DBT, TF-CBT and EFT and has a particular interest in complex trauma and attachment needs, but most importantly, she adapts what they do to fit the person in front of them. Dr Green is straightforward and strengths-based. She works to understand the child and young person’s world and inner life, and suits and fits her approach to meet their needs. Dr Green wants the children and young people she supports to feel listened to and valued.
All clinicians at The Chelsea Psychology Clinic are trained to conduct comprehensive assessments, considering you as a whole person rather than a specific issue. They tailor treatment and integrate multiple therapeutic perspectives to create a plan that is both evidence-based and uniquely suited to you.
Dr Green works with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, behavioural management difficulties, child behavioural issues, emotional distress, abuse and neglect, attachment issues, perfectionism, self-esteem difficulties, emotional containment and anger issues. She has specialist experience in complex trauma, emotional and behavioural needs, neurodiversity (ADHD and autism), learning difficulties and disabilities. Whatever someone is struggling with, Dr Green aims to offer support that recognises and respects their unique needs and experiences.
Alongside her therapy work, Dr Green is also involved in supervision, training and systemic work, reflecting her passion for child development.
