Dr Léann Lavery is a counselling psychologist, integrative psychotherapist and EMDR therapist. She completed her undergraduate honours degree in psychology at University College Dublin, and earned her clinical doctorate at the Metanoia Institute in London.
Léann has worked across a variety of settings in both the private and NHS sectors, including NHS secondary care for adults with complex mental health needs, university mental health services, and private organisations.
Working relationally, Léann offers a collaborative and attuned therapeutic space where clients can explore their experiences with openness and curiosity. She integrates body-based neuroscience, trauma-informed theories, and psychodynamic approaches to deepen self-awareness and understanding. Additionally, she incorporates EMDR, compassion-focused techniques, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), and existential perspectives to foster resilience, emotional healing, and personal growth.
Before training as a psychologist, Léann worked in PR and communications, giving her a unique insight into the pressures of corporate environments. She has a particular interest in trauma and relationship dynamics and supports individuals navigating anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, issues with self-worth, work-related stress, and existential concerns.
