Dr Michael Eisen first began his training with a BA in Social and Political Sciences at the University of Cambridge, graduating with Upper Second Class Honours, before going on to complete a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) at University College London. His path has taken him through adult mental health, child mental health, older adult services, and forensic mental health, where he has supported a wide range of individuals. Over the past years, he has worked in private practice with adults and has also held a role as an Associate Clinical Tutor on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at University College London.
In the therapy room, Dr Eisen brings a thoughtful, reflective and flexible approach. He draws on training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy (ST) and Mindfulness-Based Approaches, with a particular focus on mindfulness and meditation in therapy. Most importantly, he adapts what he does to fit the person in front of him.
All clinicians at The Chelsea Psychology Clinic are trained to conduct comprehensive assessments, considering you as a whole person rather than a specific issue. They tailor treatment and integrate multiple therapeutic perspectives to create a plan that is both evidence-based and uniquely suited to you.
Dr Eisen works with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, and stress, as well as panic disorder, health anxiety, OCD, and neurodevelopmental conditions such as ASD and ADHD.
Alongside his therapy work, Dr Eisen has extensive experience teaching mindfulness, meditation, and compassion in NHS, private, and corporate settings, reflecting his commitment to integrating psychological insight with mindful awareness.
