Dr Ruta Adamone first began her training with a BSc in Psychology at Goldsmiths, University of London, graduating with First Class Distinction, before completing an MSc in Mental Health Studies at King’s College London, also awarded First Class Distinction, and a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology (DCPsych) at the University of Roehampton. Her path has taken her through private practice, NHS, university services, and charitable organisations, supporting adults, which has shaped the way she now works with clients.
In the therapy room, Dr Adamone brings a compassionate, calm, and collaborative approach. She draws on training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Mindfulness-Based Approaches. She provides a safe and reflective space where clients can explore their experiences with openness and curiosity, supporting them to connect with their inner strengths and develop greater self-understanding and self-compassion. All clinicians at The Chelsea Psychology Clinic are trained to conduct comprehensive assessments, considering you as a whole person rather than a specific issue. They tailor treatment and integrate multiple therapeutic perspectives to create a plan that is both evidence-based and uniquely suited to you.
Dr Adamone works with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Stress/Burn Out, Emotional Dysregulation, Self Esteem Difficulties, and Relationship difficulties, and has specialist experience in Adult Neurodevelopmental Services, including ADHD and Learning Difficulties. Whatever someone is struggling with, Dr Adamone aims to offer support that recognises and respects their unique needs and experiences.
