Sophie Marshall is a consultant clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience delivering psychological intervention. Dr Marshall has a long-standing senior career in the NHS as the clinical and service lead for a specialist forensic service at the Tavistock and Portman Clinic; and academically as a lecturer in psychology at Birkbeck University London and at the Association of Psychological Therapies (APT).
Dr Marshall specialises in long-term therapy with adolescents, adults, and couples. She has extensive experience working with people experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties, interpersonal and personality difficulties, harmful behaviours and chronic or severe mental health presentations. Dr Marshall has trained extensively in many treatment modalities with over 10 years’ experience in the delivery of Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy.
Dr Marshall has a passion and commitment to enhancing the wellbeing of people whose presenting difficulties are impacting on their ability to engage in life fully. Dr Marshall’s philosophy is that you are the expert on your life and her aim is to give you a positive experience of therapy to support you to manage the difficulties in your life.
