Dr Theodore Lloyd is a clinical psychologist working in the NHS and private practice. He was awarded his BA in Classics at the University of Oxford before undertaking a conversion course in applied psychology at London Metropolitan University. He went on to obtain an MSc in Early Intervention in Psychosis at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (King’s College London) and then completed his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at University College London.
Dr Lloyd specialises in psychodynamic psychotherapy utilising an exploratory approach to work with clients to achieve greater self-awareness and understanding of personal challenges. He has a special interest in assisting clients with fulfilling creative potential and working through obstacles to creativity. Dr Lloyd is also experienced in providing a wide variety of evidence-based psychological therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Mentalisation-Based Therapy (MBT), and Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT).
Dr Lloyd has considerable experience supporting people struggling with a broad range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, OCD, complex trauma, complicated grief, emotional dysregulation, and interpersonal and relationship difficulties.
