Dr Yoav Jacob is a Consultant Psychiatrist who completed his medical training in London and Sydney before working across inpatient, outpatient, and hospital-based mental health services in both Australia and the UK. His career spans a wide range of clinical environments, supporting individuals with diverse and complex mental health needs in NHS and private settings.
In his clinical practice, Dr Jacob works collaboratively, combining expert prescribing with a psychologically informed and compassionate approach. He aims to empower patients through a clear understanding of their difficulties and to ensure that treatment is tailored, safe, and centred around their goals and wellbeing.
Dr Jacob has extensive experience supporting individuals with depression, anxiety disorders, OCD, PTSD, psychosis, personality disorders, gender dysphoria, and body dysmorphia. He also has significant experience in working with neurodevelopmental conditions, including ASD and ADHD, and has previously led a specialist autism and eating disorders clinic. He has specialist expertise in the assessment and treatment of eating disorders, having worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist within the St Ann’s Eating Disorders Service across outpatient care, day programmes, and inpatient settings.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr Jacob has supervised doctors and medical students and has delivered teaching on eating disorders. He has also supported sport-related mental wellbeing and worked with ITV to advise on mental health considerations and adjustments for participants entering reality television programmes.
