Io Vassiliadou is a Clinical and Counselling Psychologist (HCPC registered) who has completed her BSc (Hons) at University of Westminster, London, and her Clinical Psychology and Psychopathology training (Doctorate Equivalent) at the University of Paris, France.
She has experience in various NHS settings and is currently based within a Specialist Multidisciplinary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service as well as a Specialist Autism Spectrum Disorder Service.
She has extensive experience in working with complex presentations in children, young people and adults who are experiencing various types of emotional difficulties such as anxiety, depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder as well as relationship difficulties and work/exam related stress.
She integrates a number of therapeutic models including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and Narrative Therapy to tailor treatment to meet the individual needs of her clients.
She also has specialist training in assessments of Neurodevelopmental Disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder.
