Katerina Foutsi

Family & Systemic Psychotherapist

Katerina Foutsi first began her training with a BSc in Psychology, before completing an MSc in Child and Adolescent Psychology and a further MSc in Family and Systemic Psychotherapy. Her professional experience includes working therapeutically with children, families, individuals and couples. Katerina has worked in child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) within the NHS, supporting families and children with complex emotional needs, as well as in private practice with adults and couples experiencing emotional, relational and other psychological difficulties.

In the therapy room, Ms Foutsi brings a collaborative and relational approach. She draws on training in Systemic Family Therapy (SFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Narrative Therapy, and adapts her approach to meet the needs of each client. She places particular emphasis on relationships and how family dynamics and patterns shape a person’s wellbeing. Especially when working with children, she involves the whole family, focusing on their strengths, resilience and resources. Katerina focuses on creating a safe, open and non-judgemental therapeutic environment where clients can feel heard and understood.

All clinicians at The Chelsea Psychology Clinic are trained to conduct comprehensive assessments, considering you as a whole person rather than a specific issue. They tailor treatment and integrate multiple therapeutic perspectives to create a plan that is both evidence-based and uniquely suited to you.

Ms Foutsi works with individuals, couples and families facing a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, stress/burnout, relationship difficulties, attachment issues, trauma, abuse/neglect, ADHD, ASD, OCD, and adjustment difficulties.

She conducts sessions in both English and Greek.
