Ms Komal Illahi first began her training with a BSc in Psychology with Clinical Psychology at the University of Kent, before going on to complete a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Surrey in 2025. Her path has taken them through mental health services, where she has supported children, young people, and adults, and into specialist NHS community and specialist services, which has shaped the way she now works with clients.
In the therapy room, Ms Illahi brings a collaborative, evidence-based approach. She draws on training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Systemic Therapy and a particular interest in anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), neurodevelopmental conditions, and hormone-related and holistic health. Ms Illahi focuses on delivering thoughtful psychological assessment and intervention, working collaboratively to understand each client’s experiences within their wider personal, relational, and biological context.
She works with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress and wellbeing difficulties, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and relationship difficulties and family challenges, and have specialist experience in ASD and ADHD assessment, learning disabilities, and therapeutic work with children and families. Whatever someone is struggling with, Ms Illahi aims to offer support that recognises and respects their unique needs and experiences.
Alongside her therapy work, Ms Illahi is also involved in community outreach, group interventions, audit, and mental health workshops, reflecting their passion for helping people create lasting, meaningful change in their lives.
