Dr Raechel Horowitz is counselling psychologist who obtained her master’s degree in Mental Health from King’s College, London and completed her Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at London Metropolitan University. Dr Horowitz has experience working with adults in the NHS, charity sector and private practice. She also has extensive cross-cultural experience having held positions in mental health services in many locations including South Africa, New York and London.
Dr Horowitz takes a bespoke, person-centred therapeutic approach and can integrate various therapeutic modalities according to the needs of each individual, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, voice dialogue, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Compassion Focused Therapy. She is also a trained yoga teacher and can incorporate this area of her knowledge into her therapeutic approach through an awareness of the capacity for breathwork and movement to contribute to regulation of the nervous system.
Dr Horowitz has worked with clients with a range of emotional difficulties including, depression, anxiety disorders, bereavement, personality disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), relationship difficulties and eating disorders. She also has experience working with individuals diagnosed with ADHD and ASC.
