As our clinic continues to grow, we are expanding our services to meet increasing demand and are excited to be developing a dedicated Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) service within our Neurodevelopmental and Child, Young Person and Family Pathways.

Exciting Opportunity for a RCSLT Registered Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of a growing SLT service within a well-established multidisciplinary clinic. We welcome applications from both associate (self-employed) and employed clinicians.

Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist

Salary: Up to £55,000 pro-rata (dependent on experience and contract type)

Contract: Associate or Permanent Employed (subject to probation)

Hours: Part-time, 1–2 days per week (0.2–0.4 FTE)

Annual Leave: 27 days + bank holidays (pro-rated – employed roles only)

Key Responsibilities

As a Speech and Language Therapist at TCPC, your responsibilities will include:

• Assessing speech, language, and communication needs of children and young people referred to the clinic

• Developing and delivering evidence-based Speech and Language Therapy interventions

• Playing an active role in multidisciplinary diagnostic assessments for Autism Spectrum Disorder and comorbid mental health conditions, in line with NICE guidelines

• Providing specialist SLT input and post-diagnostic support following neurodevelopmental assessments

• Producing high-quality clinical reports and care plans within agreed timescales

• Contributing to the development and ongoing improvement of the clinic’s SLT service

• Attending MDT meetings, pathway meetings, and relevant clinic events

• Sharing information appropriately with clients and colleagues in line with data protection requirements

• Maintaining up-to-date HCPC and RCSLT registration and engaging in ongoing professional development

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking motivated and skilled Speech and Language Therapists with experience working with children and young people with additional needs. Essential and desirable criteria include:

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy / Speech Pathology

• HCPC and RCSLT registration (essential)

• Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience

• Experience working with neurodevelopmental disorders and mental health conditions

• ADOS-2 and/or ADI-R training (desirable)

• Experience contributing to service or pathway development within healthcare or education settings

• A strong passion for working with children with additional needs

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with families, MDT colleagues, and external agencies
