When you’re receiving psychiatric and psychological treatment, how long it takes to feel better will very much dependent on the nature of your difficulties and the type of approach that you need to help with those. So you might see a shorter-term benefit with medication but with some psychological approaches they will also have a very quick impact, whereas with other approaches and other difficulties it will require long-term work and the benefits will start to accrue over the months.
