It depends on the complexity of the trauma, but if it’s a one-off trauma, for example a road traffic accident, treatment can be effective within 20 sessions. If someone’s got a history of more complicated trauma from childhood, or a number of traumatic events, then we would expect treatment to take a bit longer.
