So, in CBT, there is an expectation that you will be practising things in between sessions, which tend to be weekly and last for up to an hour. And so, clients are usually assigned homework assignment for tasks to do, which might be based on continuing with some of the work you’ve done in that session, or might be doing some extra reading outside of the sessions in order to help you to generalise some of the learning, and also in order to take it out into the real world.
