The main signs of bipolar disorder that are really important to spot is beginning to feel unreal, beginning to feel that dangerous situations are not actually dangerous. So for instance, sometimes people might be on the top of a very tall building and think, “Oh gosh, I could actually fly.” Or they might… they might be not sleeping at night. That is a very common symptom that actually their mood is beginning to escalate and get very, very high. They might begin to really spend far more money than they used to under normal… in their kind of day-to-day life, normal circumstances. They might just generally begin to observe a whole range of behaviours that are not typically them. And that’s usually the symptom that they are entering a manic phase, and that that’s the point to seek help.
