A panic attack is when you have a sudden surge of anxiety symptoms, such as heart palpitations, or dizziness, breathing very quickly, feeling very hot and sweaty, and perhaps shaky with wobbly legs. It tends to sometimes feel like it’s happening out of the blue, especially initially. But over time, what can happen is that you can start to experience those symptoms in the situations that you’ve previously had a panic attack in, and that’s when it might start to become panic disorder.
