CBT is a type of talking therapy that’s very much focussed on the here and now, compared to other therapies that might be more focussed on the past. And although it might make links to the past, it’s really focussed on what’s happening currently for someone. It tends to be very effective for a variety of anxiety disorders and also for depression.
