I think anyone that is struggling with managing their emotions, and I think people that struggle to manage their emotions might be more likely to engage in impulsive behaviours that are designed to help them cope with their emotions but they tend to be harmful behaviours. So we might see people that self-harm, use alcohol excessively or drugs excessively, or a whole range of impulsive behaviours. We also see people that are experiencing a lot of disruption to their interpersonal relationships. So I think anyone that kind of recognises those as being difficulties in their life would benefit from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
